INFOStorage : Oracle/ Hitachi Technology Day – a first of its kind.

 

          INFOStorage Corporation made history by creating an enterprise solutions – featuring Oracle Linux and Oracle VM on Hitachi Compute Solutions- a first of its kind in the Philippine IT Industry. This solution was highlighted and featured during the media launch, followed by the Oracle/ Hitachi Technology Day event last June 26,2014 at Makati Shangri-la

          “This Technology Day is a first of its kind for INFOStorage because 1) This is the first time for us to feature Oracle Linux and Oracle VM on Hitachi Compute System in a simplifed solution package  which gives our customer an edge in protecting and growing their business. 2) This is also the first time that we actually featured a live demonstration of the solution in our Technology Event,  explained Anthony Agustin Jr., INFOStorage Vice President for Sales and Marketing.

          The event was graced by Key Regional Speakers from Oracle and Hitachi Data Systems . Andrew Cheong who is the Sales Director , ASEAN Region for Oracle Linux and Virtualization talked on Oracle Linux and Oracle VM as being the best open platform for the enterprises. Thomas Chua , Principal Consultant for Asia Pacific Hitachi Data Systems and Saravanan Krishnan, Business Director for Infrastructure Management Solutions for Asia Pacific , Hitachi Data Systems talked about Hitachi Compute benefits – such as  increasing the speed and agility of IT and delivering return of investment while reducing operational costs.

          The highlight of the event – the live demonstration which was presided by INFOStorage Vice President for Technical Services and Business Development, Jim Giron showed that INFOStorage with its 15 years of experience in providing IT Infrastructure Solutions can indeed come up with a solution that combine 2 IT giants (Oracle and Hitachi) that addresses the common challenges faced by Philippine IT enterprises.

          After the live demonstration, a huge number of participants took the opportunity to partake in the question and answer panel with Oracle, Hitachi and INFOStorage guest speakers and engineers which was engaging, relevant and informative.
